  • Wood floors are easy to clean.  Simple sweeping and vacuuming along with routine maintenance with a proper hardwood floor cleaner is all that should be required.  Protecting your hard wood floors with area rugs and other floor protectors is also recommended.

  • What is the difference between Natural and Engineered Wood Floors?

Natural - The rich look of a natural hardwood floor adds warmth and charm, gives a sense of permanence, stability to any room in the home.  Even in a small house, wood floors give a house a well-crafted appearance.

Today's hardwood flooring comes in a wide variety of wood species.  Besides the popular North American hardwoods like oak, there is also a variety of exotic hardwood species, such as bamboo.  Exotic hardwoods offer unique and unusual visual character and give homeowners the chance to better express their personal decorating tastes with a more unique wood appearance.

With proper care, hardwood floors can last a lifetime.

Engineered - Engineered wood flooring is composed of 3 to 5 layers of wood glued together in a cross-grain configuration.  this makes engineered wood flooring very resistant to expansion and contraction from temperature or humidity changes and moisture.

Engineered wood floors are generally factory pre-finished with a UV-cured polyurethane or aluminum oxide finish.  They are stable and dent-resistant and can be installed over wooden sub-floors or concrete slabs.  Engineered floors are available in varying widths can also be installed in any room in the home, whether on-grade, below-grade or above-grade.

    What is Bamboo flooring?

Bamboo is actually a grass that is harvested from managed plantations.  Bamboo flooring comes as pre-finished engineered boards that have an exotic striped grain. It can be ordered in a variety of light to dark wood tones.

Bamboo floors have a warm, natural look. They can be used in homes of any age and style. They are suitable for almost any room in the house, especially living rooms, dining rooms, family rooms, bedrooms, hallways and stairs.

Bamboo floors are easy to maintain by vacuuming or sweeping frequently and occasionally mopping them with clear water.
